Development Professionals Affinity Group

Mission: Facilitate collegial interactions among development professionals and providing an environment of support, and growth.

Goals and Objectives:

To create awareness by

·        addressing competing priorities between college and university interests

·        encouraging the ROI approach to development

·        informing faculty and deans about the role of philanthropy

To facilitate networking and the sharing of best practices

·        within the group

·        the broader membership

To facilitate professional growth

To provide thought leadership in business school development

Membership Criteria:

Any institutional member of AACSB International whose primary responsibility is fund raising for the business school

ADDENDUM 1: Governance

Subcommittees:

Networking – Chair: Open

The primary purpose of this committee is to facilitate networking between AACSB meetings among business college development professionals. This may include using the Development Affinity Group Listserv, establishing and maintaining a website, and other ways to communicate best practices, address concerns, etc.

Planning Conference Programming – Chair: Open

Suggest ideas for organizing annual AACSB Development conference, topic ideas and suggested presenters for specific sessions, and other activities that facilitate interaction among the development professionals at the conference.  

Communications/Marketing - Chair: Open

The purpose of this committee is to facilitate communications about the affinity group and market the affinity group to AACSB business schools.
