Post-Doctoral Bridge to Business Program Adds Qualified
Candidates to the Management Education Faculty Pool

Tampa, FL, USA (October 19, 2012)—In response to one of the most fundamental challenges facing business schools today, the Post-Doctoral Bridge to Business Program, endorsed by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), graduated a combined 18 participants from Virginia Tech and the University of Florida. To date, the Post-Doctoral Bridge to Business Program has added 181 qualified doctorates to the b-school faculty pool.

AACSB's Post-Doctoral Bridge to Business Program provides intensive training to doctoral faculty from non-business disciplines, and prepares them to teach courses in accounting and finance, marketing, management, supply chain management, international business, and entrepreneurship. AACSB's endorsement ensures that each program adheres to a rigorous set of standards, and serves as a bridge to facilitate the transition of these scholars into faculty positions in management education.

The Virginia Tech Bridge Program offers education tracks in finance, management, and marketing. The August 3, 2012 graduates are: Michael L. Duffy, Richard A. Highfield, and Yaseen A. Yaseen.
