AACSB's BizEd Wins Eight Florida Magazine Association Charlie Awards
TAMPA, FL (August 12, 2009) — BizEd magazine,
AACSB International's bi-monthly publication serving leading business schools, corporate universities, and leaders in management education,
was recently honored with eight awards at the 2009 Florida Magazine Association's (FMA)
Charlie Awards gala.
For Writing Excellence, AACSB International received one Charlie Award, the competition's top honor or gold standard. In the
Association/Trade category for Best Feature, Sharon Shinn won top honors for Dial M for Mobile, which appeared in the Jan/Feb 2009
issue. Tricia Bisoux also won three bronze awards for Best Department – Spotlight in the Association category for Making 'Moo-la',
March/April 2008; Restoring Hope, Sept/Oct 2008; and Operation Entrepreneurship, Nov/Dec 2008 issues.
In addition, BizEd won three silver general excellence awards for Best Overall Magazine for the May/June, July/Aug, and Sept/Oct 2008
issues in the Association/Trade category. The July/August Socially Responsible Leadership issue also won a silver general
excellence award for Best Special Theme in the Association/Trade category.

The Florida Magazine Association is the professional organization for the State of Florida's publishing industry, and represents more
than 200 magazines across the state. The 2009 awards competition included 75 categories in areas of general excellence, editorial
excellence, design excellence, and printing excellence. The awards were presented on August 7th during the FMA's 2009 Publishing
Conference and Exposition at the Portofino Bay Hotel, Universal Orlando.
