There has been much debate of late as to whether (or indeed, how) management educators have lost their way – are graduates properly prepared for today’s globalized business environment? Does business want “thinkers or doers”? What is the best mix of theory and practice? If business educators are to respond effectively to the needs of global business, they must first determine what these needs are. This requires strategic and two-way interaction between business schools and members of the business industry and professional communities – both nationally and internationally.
