Plenary I:  Can MBA Programs Meet the Challenges of Industry Demands? — Realities and Challenges 
Traditionally, MBA programs are differentiated by fields of emphasis: Marketing, Finance, Organization, Leadership, etc.  As the business environment changes rapidly with the proliferation of Information and Communication technology, business managers and executives face different challenges.  Business education is expected to provide very narrow, special solutions and skill sets to confront complex problems in a high-speed Internet environment as well as a flexible attitude to cope with a volatile environment on a firm theoretical foundation.  This session will explore how new generation Asian and overseas MBA programs can achieve a relative emphasis between specific solutions and basic foundation, plus, highlight challenges and strategic solutions.

Plenary II:  What Asian CEO’s Define as Necessary Leadership Capabilities to Run Asia 
Based on original research of the McKinsey Learning Institute, this session will highlight insights into the importance of leadership capability building to corporate performance while promoting an understanding of the best practices in Asian corporate leadership development.  A discussion of opportunities and challenges for Asian business schools in corporate education concludes the presentation.

Opportunities for Business Education in China 
China's management education can be traced back to 100 years ago, but modern management education only has a short history of 25 years.  In spite of this, China's management education has made remarkable achievements in recent years.  The presentation tries to give a full picture of modern management education in China, and also aims to explore the possibility of collaboration and discuss more effective collaboration models between Chinese business schools and their overseas counterparts, based on the experience of the actual practice in more than two decades.

Plenary III:  AACSB Accreditation in Asia 
The recently adopted AACSB International Business Administration and Accounting Accreditation standards have received much attention.  They will lead the world’s best business schools into a new era of excellence in management education. While accreditation is the core product of the association other services and key issues are pursued on behalf of the field of management education.  This presentation examines the role of accreditation in a global context and gets to the heart of other research, educational and publication services that are available to member institutions.

Plenary V: Best Practices in Leadership Development Programs 
Presenters from two renowned MBA programs provide an overview and impart knowledge gained from their innovative and effective practices.  Critical program components will be identified and contrasted between the program experts along with an emphasis on how assurance of learning is addressed by each institution.  Finally, challenging issues and the ongoing quest for quality are discussed.

Best Practices in University Collaboration and Innovation Case Study 
Alliance partners, University of San Francisco and KAIST, provide their case study of excellence in management education.  Together the institutions support faculty and student development efforts for improved scholarship and teaching.  The cooperative conceptual framework is offered that has successfully guided development efforts between the partner institutions.  In conclusion a forecast is provided for sustaining this initiative and the necessary trade-offs involved in maintaining an enduring, innovative and collaborative alliance.

Plenary VI: Accreditation School Case Study
Quality accreditation is a principal method both to attain and maintain excellence in a business school.  In 2004 the Korea Advanced Institute in Science and Technology, the premier management school in Korea, earned AACSB International initial accreditation for the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs.  This case study examination shares vital information on the key initial accreditation process and the valued benefits received by the institution.
