I: Can MBA Programs Meet the
Challenges of Industry Demands? Realities and Challenges
Traditionally, MBA programs are differentiated by fields of emphasis:
Marketing, Finance, Organization, Leadership, etc. As the business
environment changes rapidly with the proliferation of Information and
Communication technology, business managers and executives face different
challenges. Business education is expected to provide very narrow,
special solutions and skill sets to confront complex problems in a
high-speed Internet environment as well as a flexible attitude to cope
with a volatile environment on a firm theoretical foundation. This
session will explore how new generation Asian and overseas MBA programs
can achieve a relative emphasis between specific solutions and basic
foundation, plus, highlight challenges and strategic solutions.
