In June, 2003, AACSB International commissioned the Ethics Education Task Force.  The task force is charged with identifying potential enhancements for business education and accreditation review of ethics education.  A resource document that provides guidance on the design, delivery, and evaluation of business ethics education has been drafted.  The progress of the task force and preliminary recommendations will be shared, along with a sampling of resources and effective practices from AACSB and member schools.

Facilities Survey Report
AACSB International Knowledge Services, in partnership with ikon.5 architects, recently initiated a benchmarking study of business school facilities.  The survey gauges the perceptions and opinions of the AACSB membership on the best facility examples, provides a benchmark for square footage requirements, and identifies those elements and amenities that distinguish notable b-school buildings.  The session will provide a preliminary snap-shot of benchmarking metrics, a preview of the components defining tomorrow's business schools, and an open forum to discuss critical issues and concerns—from identity and branding to size, costs, and amenities.

Assessment of Student Learning: Where we are now and where we need to go (soon!)
Based on a survey of 200 plus at a recent AACSB Business Based Accreditation seminar, a snapshot of where business schools are now in assessing student learning (process, techniques, budget) will be compared with AACSB expectations.  Key obstacles to implementing assessment programs will be identified and discussed, with special attention paid to overcoming faculty resistance.

The Role of Executive Doctoral Programs in Addressing the Shortage of Business Doctorates
