Timothy S. Mescon, AACSB International
Timothy S. Mescon is executive vice president and chief officer for Europe, the Middle East and Africa for AACSB International. He is president emeritus of Columbus State University (Georgia) where he served from 2008-2014. Previously, he served as dean and Dinos Eminent Scholar Chair for 18 years at the Michael J. Coles College of Business at Kennesaw State University in Georgia. Mescon gained extensive experience as an AACSB peer review team member, chair, and committee member for 25 years before joining AACSB. He is the author of more than 200 articles and case studies, and he has co-authored four books, his latest "Entrepreneurship: Venture Initiation, Management and Development" 2nd edition (Routledge/M.E. Sharpe). Mescon received his PhD from the Terry College at The University of Georgia, MBA from the Cox School at Southern Methodist University and BA from Tulane University.
Ananth Rao, University of Dubai
Dr. Ananth Rao is a Professor of Finance & Banking at University of Dubai (UD). He is currently the Dean – Dubai Business School; Director of External and International Relations; Director of Centre for Research and Consultancy, and Academic Advisor to the President. Formerly he served as the Dean of Business School at UD from 2001-2010, then as Provost/Chief Academic Officer of UD from 2010 to 2015. He was the Director of MBA & PHD from Sep ’2015 to June 2016. Dr. Rao obtained his PhD in Applied Economics-Banking from University of Minnesota (USA) in 1991, and MS – Applied Economics- Banking from Purdue University (USA) in 1985. Dr. Rao has 15+ banking experience before joining academics. He passed the CFA Level 1 examination in June 2000 conducted by the CFA Institute USA. Dr. Rao’s research interests are in ERM, Investments, Bank Management, ALM, Corporate Finance, Stability of Emerging Financial Markets, Derivatives, and Efficiency of Financial Services Firms. He is a prolific researcher with 35+ publications in ABDC listed A and B category journals. He is a reviewer for IRFA-Elsevier (A category in ABDC) and a set of B journals in Emerald. He was instrumental in earning AACSB initial accreditation to UD’s business programs in 2009, maintaining it in April 2014 for further period of 5 years till April 2019. He is the official AACSB mentor to IIM – Kashipur (India) and PRT member to IFIM-Bangalore (India). He has assisted half a dozen business schools in the Middle East Asia region informally through the AACSB accreditation process. His strengths in AACSB process are in Strategic Management, Impact, Innovation and Engagement, AOL & Curriculum Management, and assessing Faculty Qualifications for various levels of business programs.
