Plenary III: What Drives B-School Students: Beyond Demographics to Core Motivations

Sangeet Chowfla, President and Chief Executive Officer, Graduate Management Admission Council®

The Graduate Management Admission Council® (GMAC) has developed a global segmentation effort that provides actionable insights about prospective and current graduate management education students. Designed specifically to understand candidate motivations related to pursuing a graduate business degree and school selection, the research has identified seven unique segments around the globe. Conference attendees learned how resulting insights can be applied to any school’s class mix, leading to new ways for schools to connect with prospective students, influence curriculum design, and tailor recruiter and alumni outreach.
