Remarkable. Amazing. Life changing. My future. A few of the descriptions the AACSB’s 15th Bridge class participants said about the program at graduation. My classmates are at the top of their fields: accounting, finance, marketing, operations and law. The professors were top educators from some of the best universities in the world. They taught us that we all have an abundance of content to share with our students, but we needed to learn to teach students to learn. And they taught that to us in spades. The panel of Deans gave us insight in the world of academia and spoke of the garden rakes to avoid and how to best pursue our new career. Best. Investment. Ever.

My week in the AACSB Bridge Program was fun and enlightening. In addition to learning how challenging it is to do teaching well, and getting a lot of excellent instruction in how to go about it, I got to spend a week with a very interesting, diverse and sociable group of business and professional people.

Attending the AACSB Bridge Program was one of the best decisions of my career. As a c-level executive, I was looking to follow my lifelong aspiration of becoming a full-time faculty member at a college or university. The Bridge Program gave me the tools to manage the transition from business leader to professor at the James F. Dicke College of Business Administration at Ohio Northern University. More importantly, the Bridge Program opened the door to interviews that would likely not have happened without it. I now have the privilege of continuing my career by delivering the mission of the Dicke College to our students: to develop business and civic leaders for a changing world who are ethical, entrepreneurial, and engaged.
