AACSB is pleased to announce a
new series of seminars that will help business schools address many of
the major challenges of curricula development at the undergraduate and
graduate levels. A business school’s curricula reflects its unique mission
and encompasses the intellectual capital and character of its faculty. It is
an essential ingredient for high-quality management education and a healthy
business school brand. Yet, curricula is one of the most difficult elements
for a business school to change.
The series is part of a major AACSB curriculum development initiative that
began with the Redesigning the MBA: A Curriculum Development Symposium
(March, 2011) during which 200 business school faculty members and
administrators from around the world gathered to learn from cutting edge
research and best practices from business schools.
Following the success of the Redesigning the MBA Symposium, AACSB will be
launching a series of seminars that focus in detail on the content and
implementation challenges of developing courses and programs in each of the
following areas: (i) critical thinking, (ii) design thinking, creativity and
innovation, (iii) experiential learning, and (iv) managing in a global
context.
