Teaching Effectiveness Seminar

Pre-Seminar Assignment:

  • AACSB International will email you prior to the seminar requesting the following information: courses taught/department/area of expertise, and representative presentation topic (see below). By responding with the requested information you will help us better understand your goals for attending this seminar. Please complete it prior to attending the seminar.
  • You will be asked to give a representative presentation to a small group of your peers, which should last about 10 - 15 minutes in duration. It is your responsibility and choice on how you would like to use your time slot.  Although it is designed for you to present to your colleagues and get feedback on your teaching style and method; you may also use your time to get feedback on your course documents, exams, and/or course evaluations.  Afterward, you will be critiqued and receive completed evaluations from your peers.  A laptop, LCD Projector and flipchart will be available for you to use during your presentation.  Lastly, if you are an administrator at a b-school feel free to use this time slot as a focus group regarding specific faculty or course issues.
  • Feel free to bring a copy of your course syllabus/schedule, student packet, and student evaluations for at least one of your courses.

If you have questions regarding pre-work, please contact Baily Broomell, AACSB Seminars Associate at baily@aacsb.edu.
