Request for Session Proposals
AACSB Educational Sessions:
Facilitators of Learning
Submit a Proposal
Educational session proposals are intended to join subject
leaders and practitioners in management education to deepen the understanding of
initiatives, models and processes, and to translate an institutions’
experience into learning that can be adapted and replicated.
AACSB strives to host a learning culture, turning toward
learning instead of teaching. AACSB fosters a learning culture, aiming for a
real learning experience for participants instead of merely achieving a
competent delivery of subject matter. The
four major components of this learning culture are: 1) meaningful information, 2) active learning, 3) learning amid
uncertainty, and 4) distributed learning. This
can best be achieved by shaping our sessions along the following lines:
-
Filtering
the overwhelming amount of raw data and information available, bundling it
into customized units that targeted audiences will value.
-
Crafting
learning experiences that are learner-centered and learner-directed rather
than instructor-driven, in which individuals are actively engaged in a collaborative learning process that gives meaning to the context explored.
-
Fostering
a session culture where making mistakes and experimenting are integral
features of the learning experience.
-
Leveraging
technology so that individuals can engage in real-time learning, both
instructor-led and peer-to-peer.
AACSB
International invites professional assistance to develop a limited number of
quality session proposals for a comprehensive slate of learner-centered program
offerings. Facilitation
of learning and experiential formats are strongly preferred over lecture
delivery. Proposals must be fully completed for consideration including a summary
description, indication of the accreditation standard being emphasized,
audio-visual needs, and the contact information for all facilitators and
panelists. Submissions must be made online.
Please
review the submission guidelines before completing the RFP form.
