AACSB International Conference Facilitator/Presenter Expectations
Review facilitator/presenter packet and
return all required information by the deadline. Please follow the
schedule so that your presentation and information can be included in the
notebook/conference materials and posted on the AACSB International Website in a
timely manner. This includes:
Presenter agreement
One page biography
PowerPoint presentation
Audiovisual request form
Conference registration / Travel form
Three learning objectives
Top ten key session points and bibliography
Experiential learning tools, i.e., case study
All session materials must be
submitted to AACSB International by the deadline. Session materials
include handouts, session outline, referenced articles, templates, and
PowerPoint slides. Conference cover page and AACSB International logo
should be inserted into every presentation. Copies of learning objectives, top
ten key session points and bibliography will be prepared and distributed by
AACSB International.
Confirmed facilitators/presenters will be
solely responsible for conducting the session approved by AACSB International.
Session topic ideas and learning objectives should not be changed once submitted except for editing by AACSB
International.
Interactive session format conducive to adult learning.
Educational sessions are intended to deepen the understanding of
initiatives, models and processes, and to translate an institutions' experience
into learning that can be adapted and replicated.
Facilitators/presenters need to relate
information to the diverse range of schools represented in the AACSB
International membership. All schools yearn to be recognized in a
presentation in some way for serving a regional market, research orientation,
etc. Topics that speakers should address are the different missions, size,
location, outreach (regional or state, national or international), resources,
etc.
AACSB International will
record some sessions. Therefore,
the facilitator/presenter agreement needs to be signed.
For the purpose of taping, all speakers in the session need to use the
supplied microphones throughout the session.
Also, repeat valuable comments or questions of the audience for clarity
on the tape.
The audience will evaluate
all sessions. Sessions are
evaluated on presentation, content, and facilitator/presenter knowledge.
In preparation, speakers may refer to the AACSB International website for
presentation tips, PowerPoint templates, and other resources.
Conference Information:
Presentation rooms will be equipped with the
following standard package:

Screen

Microphone(s) as needed

Standing podium

LCD projector
Any special requests should be
indicated on the presenter agreement form and returned to AACSB International by
the specified deadline.
Note:
Facilitator/presenters need to bring their own laptops and laser pointers.
If a request for Internet access is made, AACSB International will
arrange to have a standard phone line provided.
The presenter needs to have a modem and his/her own long distance access
set up on the computer. Also,
he/she will need to use an 800 number to avoid Internet service charges at long
distance rates.
