Pankaj Ghemawat is the Anselmo
Rubiralta Professor of Global Strategy at IESE Business School. From 1983 until
2008, he was on the faculty at the Harvard Business School where he was
appointed, in 1991, the youngest full professor in the School’s history. In his
address, "The Globalization of Business Education: Through the Lens of
Semi-Globalization," Dr. Ghemawat will share some of his recommendations on how
business schools can more effectively globalize their curricula.

Edward A.
Snyder is dean and George Pratt Shultz Professor of Economics of the University
of Chicago’s Graduate School of Business. As dean, Snyder oversees the school’s
overall academic, financial, and administrative leadership, including its
programs in Chicago, London, and Singapore. During his tenure, Snyder has
focused on strengthening the school’s academic values and building relationships
with business and alumni around the world. His session will focus on the
globalization strategies of business schools and how they differ from those of
consulting firms and corporations.
Hal Varian
Chief Economist
Google
Hal R. Varian is the Chief
Economist at Google. He began as a consultant in 2002 and has been involved in
many aspects of the company, including auction design, econometrics, finance,
corporate strategy, and public policy. Varian also holds academic appointments
at the University of California, Berkeley in the business, economics, and
information management departments. Varian has published numerous papers in
economic theory, econometrics, industrial organization, public finance, and the
economics of information technology.
