WELCOME We look forward to seeing you at the AACSB International 2009 Deans Conference. The information below outlines arrangements made for meeting participants.

The conference begins with a welcome reception at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 4th and ends after lunch on Friday, March 6th. Please see the agenda for the most up to date schedule of events.

ABOUT THE HOTEL

The Westin St. Francis is located in the heart of San Francisco, on Union Square. Surrounded by world class-shopping, restaurants, and theatres; with a cable car stop outside the property's front door. The hotel is a short walk from the Financial District, Chinatown, and Moscone Convention Center and located only 12 miles from San Francisco International Airport (SFO), and 15 miles from Oakland International Airport.
 

HOTEL RESERVATIONS

Each delegate is responsible for making his or her own hotel reservation. The cost of the hotel room is not included in the registration fee. Any guestroom changes, cancellations, etc., are the delegate’s responsibility and must be made directly with the hotel according to the guidelines below in order to avoid financial penalty. A room block is being held at The Westin St. Francis for AACSB International Conference participants. Preferred room rate 259 USD per night, single / double occupancy, plus tax. When making reservations, please ask for the AACSB Conference block to receive the preferred room rate.

The Westin St. Francis must be contacted no later than January 5, 2009 to receive the group discount room rate. Sleeping rooms are based on availability and may sell out prior to the cut-off date.

HOTEL CANCELLATION POLICY
 
All reservations must be guaranteed with a major credit card or a first night’s room and tax deposit. A guaranteed reservation not cancelled prior to 6:00 p.m. pacific standard time on the day of arrival will be charged one night room and tax to the method of guarantee.
 
LOCATION/ GROUND
TRANSPORTATION FACTS

The Westin St. Francis is located 12 miles from San Francisco International Airport and 15 miles from Oakland International Airport.

Taxi Service: Follow the signs from the terminal to GROUND TRANSPORTATION. A taxi would cost approximately 45 USD one way.

Super Shuttle: Follow the signs for DOOR TO DOOR SHUTTLES from the terminal to the 2nd level, which is one level up from baggage claim. From there, proceed to the middle islands where the blue shuttles with yellow writing are waiting. The cost of the shuttle is 16 USD per person and takes approximately 45 minutes to get from the airport to the hotel. The shuttle is a shared ride - it is not direct. You may also charter a shuttle for up to 7 passengers for 75 USD. If you have a group of up to 9 persons you may charter a shuttle for also 75 USD.

BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit): From the terminal follow signs to BART. BART is adjacent to the International Terminal. From the Domestic Terminal it is about a 10 minute walk depending on which gate you are coming from or you may ride the AirTrain which is a free service. You will need to purchase a 5.15 USD ticket for BART. Board a Dublin/Pleasanton-bound train and get off at Powell Street, which is the 10th stop from SFO. The train ride from station to station is approximate 30 minutes. Visit www.bart.gov for a complete list of time schedules.
