Issues in Management Education Survey

The first AACSB International Issues in Management Education Survey was conducted in the summer and fall of 2008 at the request of the Committee on Issues in Management Education. The survey and the results presented below are part of ongoing efforts to collect information regarding the issues and challenges of greatest concern to AACSB member schools.

Survey Questions:

1. What are the most important issues or challenges facing business schools in the short term (three years or less from now)?

2. What are the most important issues or challenges facing business schools in the long term (more than three years from now)?

3. Indicate the extent to which continued efforts to support existing Thought Leadership Initiatives should remain a priority for AACSB.

Survey Results are presented in the January/February edition of BizEd.

Survey Sample:

  • 273 member institutions (26% of total), including 214 accredited institutions (39% of total).
  • Participating schools represented 22 countries.
  • 14% of participants were schools outside the U.S.
  • Among U.S. schools, 65% of responses were from public institutions.
