Building B-School
Symposium, November 24, 2009
In the competitive world of management education, advancing your school
requires insight, innovation, and creativity. Take part in the only event of its
kinda new symposium exclusively focused on the specific needs of business
schools. Presented in a workshop format designed for high-level professionals in
development, communications, and alumni relations, this intensive event delivers
expertise and strategies to solidify your school’s success. New Format, Two Separate Tracks
This reformatted event is available in two distinct, simultaneous
tracks—choose to attend a workshop in either development or communications. Each
will be held in its own meeting space with its own facilitator. To aid in your
selection, view the preliminary agendas posted above.
Materials Showcase
Share your efforts with your colleagues—the Materials Showcase is an
opportunity to bring samples of your marketing/communications/development
materials to compare and contrast with your peers.
Brochures, advertisements, direct mail, signs, handouts,
publications, logo merchandise, and other promotional and awareness efforts
will be showcased next to the session rooms, available for viewing by both
participating groups during break periods.
Enhanced Networking
Each track will begin with an introductory “Who’s in the room?” session.
Prior to the event, participants will be sent a brief survey to share
information such as school size, department budget, scope of work, and which
topics are of the highest relevance to their position and institution. Attendees
also will be asked to share bios and contact info, which will be included in
symposium materials to facilitate networking beyond the event.
